20 years of Teacher Engagement.
I am a teacher, a technology integrator, Google Certified Trainer and an avid golfer if not a good one. My true passion is helping teachers use technology to improve their students' learning.
I have been working in professional development for over 20 years, and I've seen firsthand how technology can transform the classroom. I've worked hard during the recent challenging times to help teacher comfortably and effectively navigate the "Covid classroom" in it's many forms. I have dedicated my career to helping teachers bridge the gap between technology and pedagogy.
I have presented at NYSCATE and local educational conferences, and I've vlogged extensively on the topic of technology integration.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, gaming, watching movies (sci-fi and action) and reading (also sci-fi).
As I approach retirement from public schools instructional technology, I'm hoping to secure my dream retirement job—to assist educational technology vendors at professional conferences through marketing training. This transition marks a new and exciting chapter in my journey. I recently asked ChatGPT to describe this job and it was pretty darn accurate.
"I am an experienced educator with over two decades of dedicated service, specializing in the seamless integration of technology into classroom environments. My passion for education technology aligns seamlessly with the role of a Product Marketing Manager at your esteemed company. In my ideal job, I envision leveraging my extensive background to create compelling multimedia materials that not only highlight the unique features of your educational products but also serve as effective training tools for users.
With a keen eye for detail and a creative flair, I am confident in my ability to produce diverse content, ranging from engaging video tutorials to comprehensive written guides. My commitment to delivering high-quality materials extends to ensuring that educators not only understand but also feel empowered to effectively utilize your products. Beyond content creation, I am excited about the prospect of representing your company at conferences on a global scale. My adept communication skills and deep product knowledge position me as a candidate capable of presenting and training at state, national, and international conferences, as well as engaging with stakeholders at vendor events.
In essence, I am eager to bring my unique blend of educational expertise and technological acumen to a role where I can contribute significantly to the marketing and adoption success of your innovative educational solutions."
